Easter Seals North Texas Walk With Me Is March 27


FORT WORTH, Texas – Walk With Me Dallas/Fort Worth 2010, a fundraiser for Easter Seals North Texas programs, is March 27. The two-mile indoor family fun walk will be held at Grapevine Mills Mall beginning at 8 a.m.

“We will have a music program, games, prizes and fabulous Ambassadors for you to meet,” said Lee Ann Embry of Easter Seals. “Have a family-fun day, wear comfy shoes and let's get ready to walk!”
National sponsors of Easter Seals walks throughout the U.S. are CVS Caremark, Amway Global, Century 21 and Mass Mutual Financial Group. Local North Texas Walk With Me sponsors include Our Children’s House at Baylor, Kilpatrick Equipment Company, Century 21 Judge Fite Company, Rasy Ran Photography, Corner Bakery Café, Nexus Special Care Planning Team and Our Great City.com.
Teams and individuals can sign up for Walk With Me. You’ll be partnered with an Easter Seals Honorary Ambassador, a child or adult with a disability who has benefited from Easter Seals’ services.

All money raised March 27 stays in North Texas, enabling Easter Seals to provide services and support for your friends, family and neighbors with disabilities.

Course: Two laps inside the mall
Schedule:
8 a.m. Check in; free food and drinks available
8:15 a.m. Program begins with music, kids play area and ambassador introductions.
9 a.m. Walk begins

Benefits:
$50 provides one group session of occupational therapy for a child
$500 provides five physical therapy sessions to help a child learn to walk
$2,500 provides three months of therapy for a child with autism
