Easton, MA starts using municbid.com to sell goods on-line, most recently a Harley Davidson.

(Free-Press-Release.com) March 1, 2010 -- Easton, MA (March 1, 2010) - The city of Easton, Massachusetts has recently started selling their surplus and no longer needed goods on-line, with municibid.com, an on-line flat fee auction platform. This allows the city to more effectively increase non-tax revenues and decrease the overhead of storing items.

Most recently, the city of Easton posted a 1999 Harley Davidson FLHPI Motorcycle for sale. The bike has 11,787 miles, a 1450CC v-twin engine, and is in great condition. It was used by the police department, and is being sold as it is currently sitting in surplus.

"There are 17 days left on the item, and the current bid is at $5050, which is a steal for a bike of this caliber", says Greg Berry, municibid.com founder. "We are excited to be partnering with the city, and look forward to hosting other great auctions of theirs", he added.
