eco-fit™ Sustainable Solutions is a consulting and analytics firm located in Denver, Colorado. Our focus is on providing our clients with sustainable strategies and business practices that increase brand image and reduce both environmental and social costs. In 2011 eco-fit™ is looking to run a competition to rank the most sustainable companies across multiple industries from around the world. This event is being provided at no cost by eco-fit™ in the pursuit of creating a larger awareness of corporate social responsibility and sustainability within the business community and its consumers.

At eco-fit™ we want to drive change and pursue a sustainable future in worldwide business; this competition is one of the many steps we are taking to move the compass needle of business to point toward cost effective eco-responsibility and ethical practices. The mission of our competition is to provide open and free transparency about the sustainable practices, goals, and CSR policies for businesses that actively pursue sustainable business models. eco-fit™ believes that such transparency increases synergy between the consumer and business communities, and allows long term customer traction. The competition will drive progress within the companies that enter, by providing a clear understanding of how some of the best companies in the world are pursuing their sustainability goals, and provide those companies with a clear, ethical, sustainable model that consumers can both recognize, and understand. Applicant corporations will have the opportunity to objectively evaluate where they rank, as well as gauge performance among some of the most sustainable companies.

Applicants will be judged on a strict criteria of 70+ key performance metrics developed in house by the eco-fit™ team and their associates. The competition will feature metrics covering four data subsets including : Governance, Economic Stability, Environmental Impact, and Social Responsibility. Within this set of metrics applicants will gain a clearer understanding of the systems thinking perspective that is necessary to create a winning strategy within the field of sustainability. All applicants will be supplied with a final report card detailing their ranking and their performance. The top ten finishers will also earn the first annual eco-fit™ Certification for 2011. This serves as a symbol of your commitment to long term sustainability and a public assurance to your stakeholders of your hand in creating a sustainable future.

Details of the competition are as follows:

To apply your organization must meet the following qualifications:

Applications must be submitted by the Director of Sustainability/Corporate Social Responsibility
Must have released a public Corporate Sustainability or Social Responsibility Report in 2008-2010
Organization must exceed yearly revenue of $10 Million
Organization must exceed 50 employees

Applications will be collected from January 15th to February 15th. Results will be released May 1, 2010. The application process should take no more than a few hours of the time of the entrants Director of Sustainability/CSR over the entirety of the competition.
