Environmental Education Centre is a Centre of Excellence of the Ministry of Environment and Forests, Government of India, established jointly by the Ministry and the C.P. Ramaswami Aiyar Foundation. C.P.R. Environmental Education Centre in collaboration with the British High Commission, New Delhi implemented a project on Biodiversity Conservation through Capacity Building.

The environmental activities are conducted by our students and by the teachers, like Environmental Education, Environmental Education Activities, Environmental Magazines, Environmental Law, Indian journal of environmental education Rural Eco Development. The objective of the project was to provide participants an understanding of the design and nature of sustainable development programmes, Education for Sustainable development, National Green Corps, Rural Eco Development. C.P.R. Environmental Education Centre strives to increase awareness and knowledge of key target groups of school children, local communities, Women and Environment, Tribes and Environment, woman and tribes environment etc. about the various aspects of environment. Environmental laws play a vital role in the control of environmental pollution and conservation, Environmental Law, Environmental awareness, Sacred Grove Conservation, Biodiversity of Sacred Groves. The Centre regularly conducts water, air & soil analyses over a wide range of physical and chemical parameters in Environmental Laboratories in India, Environmental research Laboratory, in that Water testing and Soil testing,Water testing kit the laboratory combines most sophisticated equipments together with a skilled team of analysts in order to provide reliable testing services for also Rainwater Harvesting Techniques. C.P.R. Environmental Education Centre was awarded the Indira Gandhi Paryavaran Puraskar 1996 for its significant contribution in the field of environment education and nature
conservation. The reference library, Library for Environmental Education at C.P.R. Environmental Education Centre has a sizable collection of books, periodicals, reports, journals, videos and CDs, covering a wide range of topics including ecology, biodiversity, Environmental Magazines, ecological heritage and environmental law.
