Does the United States have a Plan B if China decides to dump US treasuries? According to Economic Analyst David Shelter there is "No Such thing as a plan B" According to Shelter, If China dumps treasuries the global markets would follow suit and start dumping theirs also.
David shelter runs the website shelter101.com, an economic survival website that includes survival tips and building your own family a hide-away home from the potential looting and rioting he says will occur when the government can no longer pay the 2 million welfare claims. In a recent statement shelter said "Why do you think China's President Hu Jintao is here in the US? He is stalling for time to move out of treasuries and into China's own yuan. The morning China stops buying treasuries, the rest of the world will stop buying treasuries, and soon start dumping them. We are not far from it now. By the next day the US government could be broke and the dollar would be about worthless, the name of the game would be survival"
Shelter states the economy is showing us signs now with an inflated stock market, food prices and oil all increasing and gold on the rise. However he says we should be seeing more prevalent signs this coming spring as we near the US debt ceiling limit of $14.3 Trillion.
