Edimax Technology and AMIMON Introduce the WD-1000TR WHDI Caster Based on WHDI Technology

Based on Wireless Home Digital Interface (WHDI) technology, the WD-1000TR WHDI Caster allows users to mirror Full HD (1080p/60) video wirelessly from HDMI devices such as notebooks, computers, set-top boxes and Blu-ray players, as well as interactive machines such as game consoles that require no latency. With WHDI, Edimax will fulfill a growing demand for high-quality wireless video streaming solutions in the home entertainment market.

WHDI enables uncompressed transmission of high-definition video over a wireless radio channel. It provides a high-quality, uncompressed wireless link which can support delivery of equivalent video data rates of up to 3Gbps (1080p/60) in a 40MHz channel in the 5GHz unlicensed band.
