Edinburgh Chief Leaves After 1 Year

(Free-Press-Release.com) August 3, 2011 -- Edinburgh airport Chief Exec Kevin Brown is leaving his post after just 1 year in charge, he is leaving his post to take what he describes as his dream job as the new Chief Exec of North Queensland Airport Group in Australia.

Mr Brown said it would take a dream job to prize him away from Edinburgh but this was that job. BAA have confirmed Mr Brown who has worked at BAA since 2002 will be leaving his post as of 1st September. Previous roles at BAA included Managing Director at both Aberdeen and Southampton airports.

The current technical standards and assurance director Jim O’ Sullivan has been selected to fill the void left by the outgoing Mr Brown. Mr O’Sullivan has plenty of experience in the aviation industry with 14 years spent at British Airways occupying such positions as chief engineer for the Boeing 777 and the general manager of Concorde.

Mr O’Sullivan applauded the work done by Mr Brown and said he would be picking up where he left off by providing a wide choice of destinations and a world class facilty.
