EMD Law LLP has teamed up with Cancer Research UK to offer clients over 55 the opportunity to make or update their Will, with Cancer Research bearing the cost of a standard Will.
The Cancer Research service is for single wills, joint or œmirror wills or codicils. If a couple are making joint or œmirror wills only one of the couple has to be aged 55 or over.
Users of the Cancer Research FreeWill Service are under no obligation to leave anything in their Will to Cancer Research UK, but as it costs the charity money it is very much hoped that each client that takes up this service will seriously consider making a donation, which will assist in the fight against cancer. As of the 20 November 2012 EMD Law LLP clients have gifted the sum of £231,166 to Cancer Research UK in their Wills prepared by EMD Law LLP.
Cancer Research UK was founded in 1902 and has achieved so much with the help of donations from the pubic. Their ambition is to cue all cancers, which will slowly be achieved with the help of the volunteers, supporters, scientists, doctors and nurses.
They fund over half of the UK's cancer research and work with others in a global fight to beat the disease. They also run cancer awareness initiatives to detect cancer early on so reducing the risk of the disease.
