FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) August 11, 2011 -- India coach Duncan Fletcher stated that for fifth successive innings, India’s popular batting lineup has dropped drastically, as they have been struggling to manage swinging and seaming conditions in England.

During this series, Indian team having two of the highest test run players, Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid are unable to score 300 runs. After losing the toss, in the first day of the third test match, the Indian squad have been bowled out for 224. In the first two tests, Dravid scored hundreds, where other batsmen have been struggling which also includes Tendulkar and VVS Laxman.

While addressing the reporters, Fletcher admitted that, “It's been pretty difficult for the batsmen to adapt. And I have not seen three pitches, even when I was with England (from 1999 to 2007), that have swung and seamed around as much as these have here.”

Tim Bresnan, one of the major bowling heroes of England at Edgbaston stated that conditions were not apt for the hosts, as skipper Strauss elected to field first after winning the toss. After completing with four for 62, Bresnan stated, “As a seamer you look at the wicket and think 'I'd prefer to bowl on there than watch someone bat on it.”

He further added, “But it didn't really do that much. We were expecting it to be a bit quicker and seam a bit more than it did - so it's a good effort. It swung a bit but not like Trent Bridge did. So it was a case of building pressure. Our guys are finding it difficult at the moment to handle the swing and seam. They have practiced and there's not much more they can do. It's about getting out in the middle and putting things into practice.”

After getting bowled by Bresnan on a delightful delivery, Dravid threw away his wicked for 22. Unfortunately, Tendulkar missed an opportunity to score his 100th century.
Bresnan has not been ready to accept that Indian players are under performing and feels that complete credit goes to England bowlers.

Bresnan said, “It goes to show how well we're bowling as a unit. There's definitely that 'hunting-in-a-pack' mentality, and we do enjoy each other's success. It's good to watch your mate get four or five... or have a really good day with the bat.”

He further added, “The Indians have not really got themselves out. We've bowled really well and stuck to our plans. It's not like they're inventing ways to get out, put it that way.”
