Eniram shortlisted for Environmental Initiative Award

(Free-Press-Release.com) November 12, 2010 -- Helsinki, Finland – November 12th, 2010 – Eniram Ltd, provider of dynamic decision support systems for the shipping industry, has today announced that it has been been shortlisted in the ‘Environmental Iniatitive’ category for the Seatrade Insider Cruise Awards, for its Dynamic Trimming Assistant (DTA) software.

This innovative software allows shipping companies to optimise the trim for a vessel which helps in the reduction of a fleets fuel consumption and carbon emissions. DTA links high precision sensors to the bridge systems which enables data to be collected such as propulsion power, vessel movement and other variables such as weather and waves. This data is then analysed and an optimum trim level is displayed in an easy to use ”traffic light” graphical interface guiding the crew to make appropriate adjustments in real time. DTA forms part of Enirams’ decision support tools, which provide full visibility of a vessel’s performance and help to optimise performance at every level.

Earlier this year Eniram reached the shortlist for ‘Protection of the Atmospheric Environment’ category in the Seatrade Awards, a further testament to its goal in helping companies to minimise their environmental footprint.
The Seatrade Insider Cruise Awards, now in its fourth year, will be presented during the Seatrade Med Cruise Convention welcoming reception taking place at the Nice Opera House on 30 November 2010.
