Eniram Shortlisted for the 2010 Seatrade Awards

(Free-Press-Release.com) March 19, 2010 -- Helsinki, Finland – March 19, 2010 – Eniram Ltd., provider of dynamic decision support systems for the shipping industry, has been shortlisted for the 2010 Seatrade Awards with the Dynamic Trimming Assistant (DTA) product.

DTA is an onboard system for dynamically monitoring and optimizing the vessel trim – where even small adjustments in the trim will have a substantial impact on vessel performance, resulting in lower fuel consumption and dramatically reduced emissions.

Traditionally, identifying optimal trim is complicated by factors such as speed, draft, depth and internal weight alterations. DTA collects prevailing trim, propulsion power and vessel movement data and with multidimensional analysis incorporates information on current conditions – such as weather and speed – to calculate and display the optimum trim. Optimum trim is then presented in an intuitive graphical user interface, guiding the crew to make appropriate ballast adjustments.

The Seatrade Awards is one of the longest running maritime award schemes and recognize those who have made outstanding contributions over the last year for safe, efficient and environmentally friendly shipping.

Eniram are shortlisted in the ‘Protection of the Marine and Atmospheric Environment’ category.
The final winner in each category will be selected by the judges in London on Monday 24 May 2010.
