Enrollment Opens For Summer Reading Camp Of Dynamic Learning House In Cebu

(Free-Press-Release.com) March 4, 2010 -- Children as young as three will be treasure hunting, joining puppet shows, take part in story telling, go fishing for words, buy books in the Lilliputian Book Fare and have fun in the picnic garden as they explore the world of letters and words in the SUMMER READING CAMP of Dynamic Minds Learning House Inc., on April 19-May 14, 2010. Known for their exceptional multi-sensory reading program, Dynamic Minds has opened their enrollment for summer with limited slots available to ages 2-7 in order to effectively carry out their stimulating approach to reading.

Academics Director Stella Cabilao explains that they present reading as an exciting activity where children are led to discover the magical sounds and shapes of letters and how they all come together to form words that identify animals, objects, places and people. She continues by saying that the thrill of reading new words and understanding what they mean is always accompanied by activities that allow the students to see, hear, feel, smell and taste the word or phrases that are being learned making the experience more stimulating and memorable.

School administrator Michelle Simtoco also shared that parents relate amusing stories of how this and that child would often surprise them when he/she suddenly start reading words seen on television, magazines, cartoon boxes, street signs and billboards, after joining the Summer Reading Camp. She further relates that many parents of graduates come back to say thank you because their children are topping their respective classes in their respective new schools.

A UP Fine Arts coach will also be handling the Summer Artists’ Camp for Dynamic Minds where the Junior campers (Kindergarten kids)learn to create art using different media like crayon, watercolor & poster paints; and the Senior campers (Grade 1-6) will have drawing and painting. At the end of the summer camp, one of their artworks will be framed for the kids to bring home.
