ENTREPRENEUR PENS INTERNET MARKETING BOOK FOR RWANDA
A new SEO book by a small business owner, for small business owners, is released, with proceeds donated to an education and environmental project in Rwanda.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) September 11, 2011 --
When company director Seggy Segaran first started his company from his spare bedroom in 1988, he has no idea how important the Internet would become in promoting it. 22 years later, his company has expanded to employ 14 people in York, and he credits much of the success of the business to the use of the web to effectively ‘compete with the big boys’.
Seggy said: “In 1988, we had no idea how vital computers would become to doing business, but these days, Internet marketing has become a ‘do or die’. Like most small business owners, I had to learn how to do everything in my business, and this book is based on what I have learned, and is written for people like me who need to understand how to get the most out of the Internet for as low a cost as possible”.
“These days, everyone is trying to sell small businesses search engine optimisation and web design services, but how does the average business owner know whether they’re really getting value for money? This book is a simple jargon-free approach to marketing your business online, whether you want to do it yourself or you just want to know if your contractors are as good as they claim they are!”
In addition to running his manufacturing company Tele-Products Ltd and his volunteer roles as the Chairman of Electronics Yorkshire and a Prince’s Trust mentor, Seggy is involved in a ‘rocket stove’ project in Rwanda to help people there reduce the use of firewood, save money, and improve health by reducing smoke inhalation. All proceeds from the sale of ‘The Battle to Get Traffic to Your Website’ will be donated to the project.
On this decision, Seggy added: “My last book, on running your own PAT testing business was dedicated to raising funds for the Princes Trust, where I am a business mentor, but the rocket stove project covers so many of my passions: reducing poverty, helping people to help themselves, reducing the environmental impact of our activities and helping people look after their health. I’ve just spent three weeks in Rwanda helping kick-start this exciting project and I wanted to use this book to help ensure it continues.”
The book is available on general release through most retail and online bookstores including Amazon and Waterstones, and is available directly from the publisher’s website, www.ohmbooks.co.uk.
