ePIFanyNow Announces its Fourth Pass It Forward Party to Perform Random Acts of Kindness in Tandem with Lansing’s Old Town Jazz Fest

(Free-Press-Release.com) July 23, 2010 -- ePIFanyNow announces its fourth Lansing-based (PIF) Pass It Forward family-style Party to be held Saturday, August 7, 2010 from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. at Perspective 2 in Old Town on 319 E. Grand River Avenue, Lansing, Michigan. Individuals, couples, and families meet to perform random acts of kindness in and around the Lansing community and return to share their stories.

ePIFanyNow Participants gather at 11:00 a.m. and the ePIFanyNow Team provides ideas on how to go out into the community and pass it forward. ePIFanyNow Participants return at 2:00 p.m. and share their stories.

“The idea is to come together and create an energy of excitement; enthusiasm that creates continuous momentum! This isn't a fundraiser, or religious or political in nature. It's just like-minded people helping others for the sake of helping,” says ePIFanyNow Founder, Bob Hoffman.

ePIFanyNow Participants find ways to burst ‘balls of stress’ by touching peoples’ lives no matter how small, simple, or insignificant the act of kindness. We are a not-for-profit, grassroots movement endeavoring to create positive change throughout the Lansing community and beyond.

“We left positive notes on the outside windows of restaurants with the text facing in so the diners could see them. We also left a note, a PIF card, and $5 in a parking ticket that said “It’s okay, it happens to everyone.” We ended up purchasing blankets, socks and hats and distributing them at local missions as well as buying coffee for a few people in a coffee shop,” says Tiffany Ewigleben, prior PIF Party Attendee.

In reference to his experience with three ePIFanyNow Parties, Jack Ebling, Talk Radio Host 1320 WILS and Editor SPORT Magazine says, “[It’s] One of the best feelings you'll ever experience. And about as much fun as you can have without getting arrested.”

With over 1,200 participants involved in past parties, this summer’s PIF Party expects the largest turnout in ePIFanyNow’s history. A portion of proceeds from all ePIFanyNow t-shirt sales will support EVE (End Violent Encounters). In addition to EVE, guest not-for-profit organizations presenting at this summer’s party are: Red Cross, Capital Area Human Society, United Way, Mid-Michigan Cat Coalition, and Alzheimer’s Feel the Love.

This ePIFanyNow Party will unveil its theme song written and performed by East Lansing-based singer-songwriter, Cindy McElroy.

“We race to be first in the check-out line. We rush to work, school, or day care. We race to reach our next destination on the roadways and freeways. Our organization helps people see outside their personal ‘ball of stress’. We encourage everyone to pass it forward, and our website provides a how-to section so people can start hosting their own PIF parties,” says Hoffman.
