The lesson was provided in the library’s meeting room and lasted about an hour in duration. The class focused on the basics of estate planning including the importance of making a will or living trust, healthcare documents such as a living will and power of attorney. Mr. Guthrie also spoke about how probate court works and things that one could do now to lessen the work for loved ones later on. Attorney Guthrie also answered questions about how long it can be before a will can no longer be probated and the simplest way to disinherit several children.
