Attorney Evan Guthrie of the Evan Guthrie Law Firm in Charleston, South Carolina is scheduled to teach two classes on the subject of estate planning at local libraries this week. The first class on estate planning is scheduled for Tuesday January 17th at 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM at Mt. Pleasant Regional Library of the Charleston County library system located at 1133 State Road S-10-56, Mount Pleasant, SC. The second class is scheduled for Wednesday January 18th at 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Summerville Public Library of the Dorchester County Library system located at 76 Old Trolley Rd. Summerville, SC 29485. Attorney Guthrie’s presentations at both libraries are free of cost to the public and will last about an hour in duration with time with a session for all questions after the presentation.

The class will go in to the basics of estate planning and explain the issues of what estate planning is, what happens if you have no estate plan, what kinds of estate plans there are, what happens with probate, what a will and a living trust do, what durable powers of attorney, living wills and healthcare powers of attorney do, what mistakes to avoid, and how to best get started and get things organized.
