The 2011 East Bay Women’s Conference, Embrace Strength–Imagine Success, presented by the Walnut Creek Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Bureau and Chevron Corporation, convenes Monday, March 7, 2011, 8am–5pm, at the San Ramon Marriott, 2600 Bishop Drive, San Ramon, CA. This year’s keynote speaker is award-winning playwright, activist, and author Eve Ensler, a powerful international voice for the natural strength and courage of women and girls.
Now in it sixth year, the EBWC is the only conference of its kind in San Francisco’s East Bay that provides women opportunities to connect and participate in programs of personal and professional enrichment. Recognized by the community for programming excellence, the EBWC has enjoyed sold out attendance of 525+ since its 2006 inaugural event.
Joining Ms. Ensler are featured speakers Kristine Carlson, co-author with her late husband Richard of the Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff series, Robyn Benincasa, world champion racer and founder of World Class Teams, who’s made an art form of extreme performance, Lori Nader Gray, author of From Cover Girl to Cookie Queen, who will share key ingredients to overcoming adversity and creating sweet, successful recipes for life, and Christy Kaplan, the always-engaging director of the John Muir Women’s Health Center.
The distinctive conference blends premier keynote and featured speaker presentations; breakout sessions focused on contemporary issues; exhibitor booths; and a fully stocked bookstore and author signings. On board this year are industry experts in personal development, communications, and relationships; business leadership; balance & organizational effectiveness; health & nutrition; and money & finance.
Conference highlights include continental breakfast, full lunch, and afternoon reception; free John Muir Women’s Health personalized assessments and health tips; and prize drawings offering winners valuable goods and gift certificates courtesy of Broadway Plaza and Davidson & Licht Jewelers.
Registration for the all-day EBWC is $165.00/person, and pre-registration is required. To register, contact the Walnut Creek Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Bureau at www.walnut-creek.com or 925.934.2007.
