EVERY CHILD DESERVES A HAPPY HOLIDAY

(Free-Press-Release.com) November 7, 2011 -- Northern Los Angeles, November 6, 2011 – Child Care Resource Center has kicked off its annual Winter Book and Toy Drive! This year, CCRC will collect and distribute 2,000 new books and toys to low income children in the San Fernando, Santa Clarita and Antelope Valleys.

It is hard to believe but there are close to 90,000 children currently living below the Federal poverty level just in CCRC’s 2,500 square mile service area. And, as a matter fact, a greater portion of families and children live in poverty in America today than three decades ago. We need your help to make the holidays just a little brighter for some of these deserving children.

Books and toys collected will benefit children in CCRC’s Head Start Preschool, Family Child Care Home Education Network and School Readiness programs. As the majority of these children qualify as “low-income”, the books and toys distributed by CCRC may be the only gifts they receive this holiday season.

• Donate new books and toys to CCRC’s for children 0-13 at CCRC’s Chatsworth and Antelope Valley office.
