Evolve Creative Group Wins Gold and Silver Web Awards at 6th Annual W3 Awards Competition

Akron, Ohio, United States of America (Free-Press-Release.com) October 18, 2011 -- Evolve Creative Group has been recognized by the 6th Annual W3 Awards for creative excellence on the web. While competing against over 3000 other entries, Evolve landed a Gold award for their website design and development of AkronMetro.org as well as a Silver award for their own mobile site of EvolveCreativeGroup.com.

This is the third award given for the AkronMetro.org website. Winning the IMA Best in Class award and being nominated for the IMA TOP 10 websites of the year in 2010.

The purpose and goal of AkronMetro.org was to give Akron METRO RTA passengers access to timely route schedules and system maps in a user friendly way. In preparing for this project, we spent a large amount of time in preliminary research. We engaged with passengers via online surveys and usability testing, allowing us to design a website based upon feedback from the actual people using METRO RTA services. With a sleek design and usable functionality, this website was poised for success.

In designing and developing Evolve’s own mobile site, great care was taken in integrating the look and feel from the main website, while optimizing for smart phone technologies. Because the mobile interface is much smaller and very unique, there were many items we took into consideration like: accessibility, usability, built-in functionality, optimization, user interaction and download time to name just a few.

"With mobile becoming such a hot trend in the online channel, it was an opportunity for Evolve to stay on the cutting edge and display the capability and advantage of a simplistic, yet creative extension of our full website," says Lead Web Designer/Developer David Fagan.
