Ex-Miami Dolphin Cleveland Gary Healthway Shopping Network Plans $5.6M IPO – cbl

PALM BEACH GARDENS — Former Miami Dolphin Cleveland Gary’s Healthway Shopping Network Inc. plans to sell up to 7.5 million shares at 75 cents apiece in a
$5.62 million initial public offering, according to an SEC filing.
The Palm Beach Gardens-based seller of health products said it would use most of the proceeds for capital expenditure and working capital. Its shares would be listed on the Over-the-Counter Bulletin Board.
As CEO, Gary holds a 71.2 percent stake in the company, and President Carolyn Shriver owns 26.4 percent. Gary also is the founder of the Black Shopping Channel and the host of “The Cleveland Gary Show” on local radio.
Healthway, which plans to market its products on the Internet and through TV infomercials, reported a loss of $5,747 in 2009, down from a loss of $42,969 in 2008. It has yet to report any revenue.
Gary played for the Dolphins in 1994, after five seasons as a running back with the Los Angeles Rams.
