Ex’pression College for Digital Arts Announces $25,000 Merit Scholarship

Founders’ Scholarship Created to Support New Students With Free Prep Session on February 20th

Emeryville, California, United States of America (Free-Press-Release.com) February 14, 2012 -- (EMERYVILLE, CA – February 14, 2012) –Ex’pression College for Digital Arts, one of the premier schools of its kind in the United States, is pleased to announce the Founders’ Scholarship, a $25,000 merit scholarship established to support new students that exhibit strong creative potential, commitment, and drive. A free event will take place on Monday, February 20th from 9:30AM-12:00PM, to help interested applicants prepare their submissions. Applications are now available and the deadline for scholarship submissions is March 22, 2012.

To be eligible to apply for a Founders’ Scholarship, applicants must either be high school seniors or have a minimum of an Associate’s Degree from an accredited college or community college. Along with a completed and signed application form, applicants must also have a minimum of a 3.0 GPA. A completed application consists of two letters of recommendation, a 750-word essay, an official high school/college transcript, and individual academic portfolio work (dependent upon the applicant’s program of study). “Our Founders’ Scholarship is a merit-based scholarship, where we can recognize and reward excellent student talent and potential by investing in the future of these bright individuals. We are thrilled to start this new merit scholarship program – we are committed to supporting students interested in the digital arts through our Founders’ Scholarship, our Ex’pression Scholarships, and our Wintzen Grants,” commented Chief Executive Officer Daniel Levinson.

To assist interested students with their portfolio submissions, a free event has been scheduled on Monday, February 20th, from 9:30AM-12:00PM. At this event, students will be able to speak with faculty, find out what they look for when reviewing portfolio work, and learn tips and things that can be done to improve the quality of their portfolio submission.
