Ex-pro Skateboarder Michael Stelmasky takes his skills to a new level

(Free-Press-Release.com) July 22, 2010 -- In the early 1980's Michael Stelmasky and his brother Kenny skateboarded throughout Southern California. Not only were they known as the Stelmasky brothers but later invented the skateboard trick called "The Stelmasky Plant". This trick is described as an invert where the front hand grabs the back rail in between the heels.

Michael, the oldest Stelmasky brother, went on to use his articulate skills to design original iron furnishings. Not just iron designs but Gothic Iron Designs. As you can see by the photos there is a lot of intricate design that goes into his craft. Michael considers himself an artist and enjoys Gothic and Art Nouveau pieces, as well as photography.

I was able to talk to Christine DeAnda who has admired Mr. Stelmasky's work. Christine said "sometimes in life there is a trait we use early on such as Mike used in skateboarding, these traits would be both articulate and intricate". Christine added that skateboarding is hard, and you have to be tough in order to learn. Skateboarding has no rules. Some skaters don't fit in, other's are jocks, some nerds, and some are Goth. Michael himself has a Goth edge to himself which he brings into his designs.

Like Michael's designs, skateboarding tricks are all invented by someone. Someone out there had to come up with each trick, just as Mr. Stelmasky came up with each unique designed piece.
