Experience a visit of Fos-Cavaou LNG Terminal

(Free-Press-Release.com) January 17, 2012 -- Cooperation premium event organizer Fleming Europe and Elengy, the second largest operator of liquefied natural gas terminals in Europe resulted into a unique opportunity to visit Fos-Cavaou LNG Terminal .

Participants attending The Global LNG Forum 2012 in Marseille on 8-10 February will have a chance to look into the terminal of Fos Cavaou operated by Elengy and owned by the Société du Terminal Méthanier de Fos Cavaou (STMFC), in partnership with Total.

The Fos-Cavaou enjoys a very favorable coastal location a few kilometers from Fos-Tonkin. Directly accessible by sea to the latest generations of very large LNG tankers, it constitutes a new major entry point into the French and European market. It has a total regasification capacity of 8.25 billion m³/year and is directly connected to the south gas exchange point (GEP) of GRTgaz, the operator of the transmission system.

The field trip to the terminal is one of the special features of The Global LNG Forum 2012 which is tailored for industry experts to meet personally and discuss already adopted steps and the upcoming strategies. The forum will deliver hours of panel and round table discussions, case studies from Port Authorities and presentations on topics like LNG Trading or Technical challenges in LNG terminal operations .

One of the presenting experts 'Corresponding Member of Academy of Technological Sciences of Russian Federation & Member of Expert Council' of Russian Gas Society, Irina Akimova, gives a glimpse of where the LNG market is moving to in the a short interview.
