During his career, Mr. Hightower has prosecuted claims against Remington Arms Co. over design defects that cause its bolt-action firearms to fire unexpectedly. His expertise also includes work in hunting accident cases heard in courtrooms throughout the United States.

Mr. Hightower began his legal career in 1995 defending physicians in medical malpractice lawsuits. He has also represented companies in a wide range of personal injury claims and business disputes. He is a five-time honoree on the Texas Super Lawyers Rising Stars list, an honor reserved for just 2.5 percent of Texas attorneys under age 40.

He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin before securing his law degree from the University of Texas School of Law in 1995.

Mr. Angelley, a former U.S. Navy pilot, provides clients with vast experience in aviation lawsuits (both for plaintiffs and defendants), and has prosecuted numerous personal injury and wrongful death cases against Cessna, Raytheon, and other notable aircraft manufacturers.

During Mr. Angelley’s six years in the Navy, he accumulated significant time in fixed-wing aircraft and helicopters. He holds commercial pilot ratings in both airplanes and helicopters. He began his legal career defending aviation insurance companies, maintenance facilities and manufacturers. He went on to gain valuable experience representing individuals and families in cases against airlines and airplane manufacturers.

Mr. Angelley earned his undergraduate degree from Texas Tech University and graduated from the University of Texas School of Law in 1997.

“Wil and I have worked together for years, and we’ve always wanted to start a firm together,” Mr. Hightower says. “The time was finally right, and we’re excited about this chance to focus on the kinds of cases we are passionate about.”

The duo worked together at Rose Walker, LLP, one of Dallas’ most highly regarded litigation firms. Mr. Hightower then practiced with The Turley Law Firm for several years before starting his own shop, Hightower Law Firm. Mr. Angelley left Rose Walker to join New York-based Kriendler & Kriendler, a preeminent plaintiff’s aviation firm. After working in Manhattan for six years, he was promoted to partner and subsequently moved to the firm’s Los Angeles office to help build the practice there. He has returned to Texas for personal and professional reasons.
