Tanjore Painting

Tanjore painting, also known as Thanjavur painting, is popular for its captivating style of embellishments. The significant characteristics of this form are brilliant color scheme and decorative jewellery. Embellishment is mainly done using gold leaf, cut glasses, and stones to add more beauty to art forms with mythological themes. Over the period of time, this form has adopted various other themes like birds, animals, and building structures apart from figures and life of Lords.

Glass Painting

This type has its origin in the 16th century, at a time when paintings were mainly used to beautify places of worship. It is one of the most beautiful styles that reflects the clarity and richness of glass in the outstanding art form produced by known artists. Some of the most magnificent glass paintings are known to be embellished with semi precious stones, gilt metals, and gold leaf.

Kalamkari

This is another important painting of India with bordered art and rounded forms as its key characteristics. It is basically a type of block printing that characterizes an outline created using burnt tamarind twigs dipped in molasses and iron fillings. Rich and vibrant colors are used to add more charm and beauty to this form.
