F.I.R.S.T. School Granted National Accreditation

Orlando, Florida – April 19, 2011 – The Florida Institute of Recording, Sound and Technology, Inc. (F.I.R.S.T. School) founded in 2004 in Orlando, Florida announced today that the Florida state licensed post secondary vocational school has been granted national accreditation by ACCET, the Accrediting Council for Continuing Education and
Training.

“This is a tremendous achievement not only for the F.I.R.S.T. School of Digital Media, but also for the growing industry in Orlando,” stated the F.I.R.S.T. School Director and Founder Donney Smith. “We are honored to have been accredited by ACCET and know our students will value this esteemed approval from a nationally
recognized accrediting organization.”

Over the course of 2010 and 2011, the F.I.R.S.T. School conducted a rigorous process of self-examination and prepared a self-evaluation report for ACCET. All program materials were sent for review to nationally recognized subject specialists chosen by ACCET and a team of national evaluators then traveled to Orlando to conduct an
onsite review that included financial audits, student services and review of all procedures. Based on this entire

process and the team’s report to the Accrediting Commission, the F.I.R.S.T. School was granted national
accreditation.

decision is yet another validation that the F.I.R.S.T. School offers quality educational opportunities to its students.

ACCET was founded in 1926 to improve continuing education and training and has been officially recognized by the U.S. Department of Education since 1978 as a “reliable authority” to the quality of education and training provided by the institutions they accredit. In 1998, ACCET became the only recognized accrediting agency to be certified as an ISO 9001:2008 Qualify Management System, under the international standards established by the
International Organization of Standardization, and continues to hold that unique status.

There are currently more than 500 F.I.R.S.T. School graduates and 60 students who will now enjoy this prestigious accreditation.
