http://www.facebook.com/pages/Get-Steven-Binko-on-The-Rosie-Show/239161922839608 Back in 2010, a large number of Facebook users successfully campaigned to get golden girl "Betty White" onto SNL. Following in the success of the campaign, Steven Binko (23) decided to develop a campaign of his own. With over 500,000 accumulated fans between his various sites, Binko has reached out to "The Rosie Show" for an opportunity to "redeem his image" and discuss the effects of cyber-bullying.
The campaign description addresses the criticism that Binko has faced for his various projects which raises an important point: internet users are an easy target for cyber bullying. In this particular case, an even more serious issue may be at hand; the inability to remove content online that could be damaging to an individuals reputation.
"We all make questionable decisions" Binko says. "It's unfortunate that mine will live-on online as they've negatively branded me. I'm such a different person behind closed doors and it saddens me that people will never know that unless I have a chance to speak out."
Whether or not "The Rosie Show" features Steven Binko as a guest is yet to be decided. Having already generated over 3,000 "likes" on the campaign page, one can only hope that Binko will have a chance to set the record straight.
"I just hope she see's this page." Binko says. "Hopefully the right person will see it at the right time. Maybe even Ellen DeGeneres!"
