(Free-Press-Release.com) November 15, 2010 --November 15, 2010 – New York, NY: The New York Acura Association (NYAA) is calling on social networking genius Mark Zuckerberg to help its dealers connect better with their Acura customers through social media. Last month, the 26-year-old New York native and owner of Facebook was spotted driving an Acura TSX.
Since co-founding Facebook in 2004, Zuckerberg’s fortune has grown to no less than $6.9 billion. A relatively new vehicle in the entry-level luxury sport sedan segment, the Acura TSX boasts luxury features like leather interior, power moonroof, automatic climate control, a seven-speaker sound system, Satellite Radio, Bluetooth and HandsFreeLink. Considering its $30,000 price tag, it’s evident that young, highly accomplished entrepreneurs are basing their car-buying decisions on the advanced technological features that are already built-in to smart luxury vehicles like the TSX, versus extravagant luxury cars whose heightened features correlate with price.
Now, the NYAA is eager to grant the social networking revolutionary full control of their social media strategy. So far, the Acura retailers have created AcuraSocial.com (www.acurasocial.com), which integrates the brand’s latest developments into one site built exclusively for Acura customers.
“We are honored that Mark Zuckerberg drives the brand that we represent, so we are sending him a letter to let him know that he has complete control of our social networking strategy,” announced Ken Hicks, General Manager of Acura of Westchester (www.acuraofwestchester.com).
“We want to connect with customers through social networks, and who better to teach us than the visionary behind the leading social networking site in the world?” added Jay Rosenthal, General Manager of Rallye Acura (www.rallyeacura.com).
Brian Benstock, Vice President and General Manager of Paragon Acura in Queens, NY (www.paragonacura.com), assures Zuckerberg’s ideas will undergo no evaluation from the dealers or the ad agency, saying, “We want to experiment and trail blaze with Mark. If he’s looking for an automotive partner to do whatever he says, we’re raising our hands and hoping to be called upon.”
About the New York Acura Association: The New York Acura Association is a partnership between top U.S. Acura dealers: Paragon Acura (www.paragonacura.com), Rallye Acura (www.rallyeacura.com), and Acura of Westchester (www.acuraofwestchester.com).
About Acura: Acura is the luxury vehicle division of Japanese automaker Honda Motor Company. The Acura brand has been used in the US, Canada and Hong Kong, since March 1986 to market Honda’s luxury and performance vehicles and near-performance vehicles. (Source: Wikipedia.)
