FamilyIgloo Review for the Da Vinci Exhibit
Welcome visit Our WebSite:
http://www.familyigloo.com After nearly 5 months at the Hollywood and the Highland Center, the Da Vinci Exhibit is now expected to close on May 31, 2011. If you haven’t yet seen this spectacular Exhibit — featuring 64 of the machines Leonardo da Vinci designed, described and developed, many of which can be turned, cranked, spun, and pulled, it is your final notice.
The exhibit also includes reproductions of 20 of his most famous works of art; 10 large posters quoting his most meaningful philosophical statements and the thoughts of others on his significance to the world; a craft area with more than 30 games and projects for visitors of all ages.
We would highly encourage families to go and visit with their children and teenagers for several reasons:
1- Da Vinci represents the man who despite living in the dark ages and being surrounded by a repressive church and community, he was able to create and invent. This a powerful lesson to the new generation and especially teens that no matter how much you get bullied or fail secondary to different obstacles, you can still overcome these obstacles and find a solutions to your problems.
2- Thinking out of the Box. Leonardo Da Vinci created the unthinkable in his time. He used what he knows to build on it. He created machines that defied common sense at the time. He built flying wings , early model of helicopter, early model of a tank and many others. He did it by imagining with a simple questions in mind: "What if ?"
3- "Yes , you can" . Leonardo failed hundreds of times before succeeding in painting or building a weird machine. He worked very hard and many times was turned down. It is a lesson that should resonate with kids and teens that life is not easy.
4- A single man influence over the world. The exhibit remind us what can a single man do for the benefit of humanity. A simple man who was despised by society for being born out of a wedlock. A man who overcame so many barriers to become the "Leonardo Da Vinci". A single man can benefit the whole humanity like Pasteur , Edison, Einstein etc.
The exhibit represents what you want your kid to be: a GENIUS. We would advise parents of kids and teens to first go over the history of Da Vinci and then visit the exhibit. The kids and teens need to appreciate the history and the man behind the exhibit before having a hands on experience.
* Famous Da Vinci quote: "The eye is the window to the soul, every difficulty can be overcome with efforts. "
