FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Los Angeles, California, United States of America (Free-Press-Release.com) January 16, 2012 -- Los Angeles, Calif.—January 12, 2012—Fancloud.com, a site that connects fans at games with fans at home while making sports conversations a social event, today announced the official site launch, and the start of its 43-city tour across North America.

During the six-month tour, Fancloud co-founders Terence Gelke, Bryan Shaw and Ben Bjurstrom will travel 15,000 miles in a van wrapped in Fancloud logos—attending more than 100 sporting events, hosting tailgating parties and meeting with fans. The founders will also meet with professional teams to discuss partnership opportunities and introduce Fancloud as a bar solution—enabling the establishments to stream Fancloud.com—to sports bar owners. Throughout the tour, Fancloud will be hosting numerous tailgating and sports bar events as part of its mission to connect directly with fans while inviting them to experience Fancloud. Sports fans can keep up-to-date on the tour events through the Fancloud.com website.

Fancloud features sports news, commentary and conversation along with live updates from more than 2,000 professional sports writers. Messages are aggregated into a fan cloud where users can see the latest happenings in sports, share information and interact with industry professionals.

Fancloud was the brainchild of sports fans, designed for sports fans and came about when the founders surprisingly found themselves in the media spotlight while at a Suns-Knicks game in Phoenix in January 2011. During the game, they sparked trade rumors by wearing Carmelo Anthony Knicks jerseys ahead of the actual trade taking place. In that moment, the idea for Fancloud was born and a beta site launched in November 20011, followed by a $215,000 investment in the company.

Free Ticket Giveaways to Fancloud Users
Part of the Fancloud experience includes free ticket giveaways to early users of the site through Fancloud’s strategic partnership with ASC Tickets. Users of Fancloud will win tickets simply by spending time on the site and interacting. Fancloud plans to give away a minimum of 5,000 tickets its first year.

“Fancloud came about because Ben, Bryan and I have always been obsessed with sports information but could never find something organized that filled the void,” said CEO and co-founder, Terence Gelke. “We are thrilled that we have been able to step in and fill that void while providing fans with the ultimate opportunity to be part of an innovative, sports-themed, social event.”
