For Immediate Release
A Pink Tea Party is being held on October 15, 2009 from 4 PM – 7 PM at Pandora Jewelry, 620 Legacy Place, Dedham with the Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Mass Affiliate, to raise awareness for the fight against breast cancer. Fancy That, a Norwood, MA based party rental company offers unique party rentals including vintage china, tableware and other items for a genteel tablescape. Fancy That was contacted by Donna Kent, store manager of Pandora Jewelry in the new Legacy Place in Dedham.
“We are thrilled to help support this important cause,” Sarah Erlandson, proprietress of Fancy That says. “We are excited to have been chosen to help raise awareness for the fight against breast cancer. The least we can do is donate the use of our
china to help make this a fabulous Tea Party at Pandora Jewelry.”
Pandora Jewelry recently opened a new store in Legacy Place in Dedham. Fancy That is donating the use of tea pots, creamers and tea cups and saucers for the event. When Erlandson realized the Pink Tea Party was in association with Breast Cancer Awareness Month, she was set on donating the use of the teaware.
“What a better way to make an impact, and ‘steep’ a friendship as well,” Erlandson said referring to working with Pandora Jewelry. “Being an active part of the Community is how we ‘brew’ relationships” Erlandson continued, giggling about the tea puns.
Erlandson created the business over six years ago as a way of justifying her obsession with collecting vintage
china. Their inventory includes pink crystal water goblets, white lace parasols, those floral T.V. Trays your parents and grandparents used in the 50’s, and of course, tea ware (and lots of it) including hundreds of vintage cups and saucers, modern cups and saucers, known as the Simplicity Line, and their newest addition: vintage flatware place-settings made up of mixed patterns.
“You don’t have to be a Queen to have tea like one,” Erlandson said. “The Pink Tea Party that Pandora Jewelry is hosting is proof positive!”
