Farrat Isolevel shakes things up with Workspace

Established over 50 years ago the company has both a UK and global presence making the need for knowledge and information sharing all the more relevant.

The decision to buy Workspace was born out of a lengthy and structured search for a CRM system as Senior Sales and Development Engineer, Andy Wood explains: “We were initially looking for something to help manage our incoming sales enquiries, assigning who would deal with each one and ensuring an efficient response to customers. Previously, it wasn’t always clearly visible what email information had been sent out by staff or details of customer discussions. We saw a number of CRM companies and shortlisted three to pitch for the work. Impressed with one, we were ready to push the button when we came across an article on Workspace in Builder and Engineer magazine”.

Workspace is the leading knowledge management software in the construction industry, storing project information in one central repository against the relevant projects, organisations and contacts.

“A demonstration of Workspace saw us widen our scope of requirements to include document management and project control. Despite our very structured initial approach to procuring a CRM system, once we were introduced to Workspace it became apparent that there were additional benefits to be gained. After discussions with other organisations using Workspace we decided to go ahead” explains Mr Wood.

Like many organisations Farrat Isolevel currently store documents in folders on a network drive and emails across various personal folders in Outlook. This makes version control and enquiry management difficult. By incorporating a fully integrated document management system along with the original CRM requirements these issues will now be addressed.
