FDY Inc. Celebrates Past and Embraces Future at CIAA Kick-off Reception

FDY was founded in 1982 and the company plans to keep that ball moving right into the 2011 CIAA by hosting a kick-off reception March 3 at the Levine Museum in partnership with Pride Public Relations, Carolinas Minority Supplier Development Council and Concepts Food Group.

“This reception has become an annual event for us,” explained Keith Haywood, vice president of sales and marketing at FDY. “Our 2011 theme is ‘Keep the Ball Moving’ because we recognize the CIAA is about more than basketball, it’s also about business. Our event always provides excellent opportunities for networking and making meaningful connections.”

FDY ‘s founders, Floyd and Norma Young, were recently honored at the 2011 UNCF An Evening of Stars® for their continued success and their community service.

“We are proud that FDY has been in business since 1982,” Haywood said. “Like the CIAA, FDY has a long history in this community and we are looking forward to a bright future. This event is the perfect opportunity to highlight successful minority-owned businesses in this region.”

The Pride Ensemble will be the featured entertainer for the evening.

The reception will take place at 6 p.m. at the Levine Museum of the New South, 200 E. Seventh Street. Tickets for the reception are $10 in advance and $20 at the door. Tickets are currently on sale at www.ez-tixx.com.
