http://www.aprilbrown.com The wonderfully successful live auction featured an array of creative and unique items, including a week at a beautiful Sun Valley Condo, a desert getaway to La Quinta, California, a week vacation on a houseboat at Lake Powell in Arizona, a seven day cruise on Holland America Line, and a week in Tuscany.
The “Fund a Rising Star” set a Fund-a-need record when an anonymous donor agreed to match every $100 donation up to $10,000, all for the benefit of FEAT programs in Western Washington.
Eric Brechner, PhD, Chairman of the Board, was delighted with the turnout and the amount of money raised, far exceeding previous auctions. “This is a tribute to the wonderful volunteers who gave so much of their time to make this grand occasion a huge success. And to be able to honor Brenne was exceptional. Her vision guided us with inspiration and energy. This was a fitting tribute to her leadership.”
Linda Bressler, who chaired the auction committee, was pleased with the event. “We had so many sponsors who stepped up, big time, to make this an overwhelming success. Their support and generosity is deeply appreciated.”
Eric Reichnanadter, CEO of Prime Electric, a major sponsor of this year’s auction said, “We are acutely aware of the effects of autism upon children, young adults and their families. We are honored to lend our support to such an important organization.”
Auctioneer April Brown also knows the importance of the evening, “We are so honored to be a part of helping FEAT for the 7th year. It is one of Seattle’s most important organizations in creating understanding and treating autism.”
Celebrating nearly 20 years of fund raising, April’s Powerhouse Auction Team includes a trio of auction professionals, including Mike Brown from ESPN 710 and Neil Scott, update anchor on Sports Radio 950 KJR.
