"Why don’t those glasses help her to see so she won’t step on that ant?" Grandma hugs me and says, “Putting glasses on, Edith Ann Marie, doesn’t always help us see clearly. Some people need glasses for their hearts.” Edith Ann Marie has many questions, asked from the innocence of a child’s heart, for which her grandmother offers wisdom that will carry her through her life in a loving and caring way. When young Laina, a reader, was asked what Lynne Carol Austin’s charming book, Edith Ann Marie, The Sun Is In My Heart, was about, she replied, “It’s about love.” Austin talks about grandmother’s wisdom, children’s hearts and the love we all need and want to share, when she appears on Full Power Living, 9 a.m. PT October 21.

Author Lynne Carol Austin draws from her experiences as a registered nurse, holistic practitioner, and spiritual teacher. As her clients have reached out to her, looking for answers in life, she realized that we are all seekers, no matter what age. This prompted her to write for the first seekers, our children. “I want children to know of the connection to the earth. The water cleanses our body, releasing any heaviness of life. The earth grounds us and keeps us steady on the path we have chosen. The sun warms our hearts and teaches us to open to love. The wind shows us how to let our voices sing out the words needed to be spoken. Once we understand the earth’s ways, we then can understand relationships with people.” Lynne complements the written word with her original artwork. Lynne has been published in spiritual magazines in the Midwest throughout the 1990’s. She wrote a feature chapter in the book, The New Healers Minds and Hands in Complementary Medicine , by Dr. Barbara Stevens Barnum,” has a story-telling C.D. called Earth Spirituality-Spiritual Storytelling and has led spiritual retreats to Peru and the Boundary Waters in northern Minnesota. Lynne’s alternative healing practice, the Gayatri Center for Healing, is in Brookfield ,Wisconsin.
