OneRunTogether Inc. is a non-profit corporation that began on August 26, 2011 to assist local cancer patients. This company hosts 5k and 10k races on local Pennsylvania golf courses. This revolutionary idea has brought a new buzz to the country club industry and to local runners as well. Aside from 5k and 10k races, OneRunTogether Inc. also hosts free community spaghetti dinners for the community to help advance this cause. Their first dinner on January 20, 2012 raised over $3000 for the cause!

Their next event is Saturday February 25, 2012 and it is a 5k Race and a 1 Mile walk that is accurately timed and measured by Athlete's Closet in West Chester. It is located at Whitford Country Club 600 Whitford Hills Rd, Exton, PA 19341

The Course starts by the clubhouse and winds around this mostly flat golf course. Race follows the cart path, paved and grass. WALKERS INVITED! Moms, Dads and Kids all welcome!

Each runner/walker will receive a high quality t-shirt, bagel, fresh fruit, water, and other great refreshments after the race. The course is accurately wheel measured and timed by Athlete’s Closet Running Store. Inaugural year- Come set a course record! Water Station on the course. Ample parking and indoor restrooms.

Entry Fee:
5k Race $25.00 (received by February 15)
5k Race Fee on Race-Day $30.00
Children 12 & under $15, Race-Day $20
Family rate $70.00 (3 or more people in same family, maximum of 3 shirts)
Mile Fun Walk $5 per individual (7 and under walk free)

Company Background:

CEO and Executive Director, Vernon Murphy Jr. created this company to raise money for local cancer patients. Two years ago his wife passed away after a final battle of cancer. When asked why he started this company he responded,

"I have been involved in many sports but surprisingly running was not one of them. I hated to run unless I had to. That changed in April 2010. Now, running is an integral part of my life. I had gone through a difficult time in my life and needed something to help me sleep and focus.

My loving wife Beth had breast cancer and passed away on November 13, 2009 at the age of 46. The pain of watching her suffer from this horrible disease was excruciating, but because of that experience (and my running), OneRunTogether was born. God has given me the vision and passion to raise money for cancer patients because I know firsthand the costs, both financially and emotionally, that cancer can have on a family. My hope and goal is to ease their burden as much as possible."
