Fed Tech begins Network Solutions Upgrade to TNMA 2.0

(Free-Press-Release.com) March 31, 2010 -- FedTechServices, LLC (FTS), March 2010 a Tampa-based defense contractor, is developing an upgrade to the network management solution U.S. CENTCOM (U.S. Central Command) has implemented to manage its diverse telecommunications operations. Theater Network Management Architecture (TNMA) provides the military with the fastest, most efficient and most secure telecommunications networks possible. TNMA 2.0 will provide an upgrade to the suite of distributed network management software tools.

Allen Noble, Solutions Architect with FTS, emphasized that the architecture is not dependent on new hardware solutions, but operates on a wide variety of off-the-shelf equipment. It provides more redundancy as well as more visibility with greater defined control management, he said.

"TNMA 2.0 has five levels to the architecture to provide the maximum visibility without allowing accidental or non-accidental changes to the system by unauthorized personnel," Noble said. Updates and patches are immediately available to all users with a TNMA account.

A feature that Noble recently implemented is an online forum on the FTS website that allows users to exchange non-classified information about TNMA tools. "It will open communications among people using the tools and help them learn how to better use TNMA. It also helps us as the software developers. If we don’t know about a problem, we can’t fix it."
