Festus MO Real Estate Owners Fly High with the 2012 Jefferson County Balloon Festival

Missouri, Missouri, United States of America (Free-Press-Release.com) February 23, 2012 -- On October 6 and 7, 2012, the Jefferson County Balloon Festival will once again entertain the crowd with various aerial exhibits from the sky and on the ground. Held at the town’s own Festus Memorial Airport, the event’s itinerary include exciting skydiving exhibitions, various helicopter and airplane rides, a craft fair, and a model airplane show.

Food concessionaires will also be around to keep visitors happily full for the entire weekend. There would also be various rides to entertain the whole family and prizes will be given away throughout the event for those participating in any of the highly anticipated games of the festival.

Participants of all ages are guaranteed to have fun in the festival, which also provides wheelchair access for handicapped members. Visitors are also more than welcome to bring their pets with them as long as they are kept on a leash.

Last year’s event had been a tremendous success, drawing over 8,000 visitors to Festus MO. Without a doubt, the main highlight of the festival would be the Balloon Glow, which is scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on the first day of this year’sfestival. During this spectacular event, exquisitely designed hot air balloons would light up the sky with their glittery and sparkling makeovers while accompanied by live music. Due however to the proximity of the Festus Memorial Airport to the Mississippi River, all hot air balloons displayed on site will remain tethered for safety purposes. Following the Balloon Glow, the audience may have a chance to get to know balloon pilots participating in the event.

Festus Memorial Airport is located at 900 Airport Road, and the event will kick off at 10:00 a.am. On Saturday, with events lined up until 10:00 p.m. while on Sunday, the event will last from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Admission rates are less than $10 and you may for them by cash or credit card on site.
