Producer's of the motion picture comedy, Stonerville, say they are not concerned about the controversial Westboro Baptist Church's plan to stage a picket in front of a Topeka, Kansas video store protesting their film as a "hellish free-for-all" and "exactly the kind of entertainment most of us abhor."
"All we did was make an innocent little comedy in the spirit of 'The Hangover' and 'Animal House.' Hopefully our audience can laugh for ninety minutes," said Alan Curtis, one of the film's producers. "That's really all we're concerned about. We're all familiar with Westboro's self-serving, hateful speech and witless stunts. You'd think these people have something more constructive to do with their time. Apparently not."
The film is rated R, primarily for sexual content, drug use and profanity.
News of the planned protest was first reported in an article by After Dark. http://sportsmansdaily.com/afterdark/?p=430
