Finalists for 15 th Asia Insurance Industry Awards announced

Singapore, 24 August 2011 - In the hotly contested annual Asia Insurance Industry Awards, which received more
than 500 entries for 15 categories, the distinguished panel of 29 judges, comprising leaders and regulators from
the insurance industry, has chosen the top list of the 45 finalists.

The categories range from insurance, reinsurance and broking company of the year to service providers,

innovation and personalities. They drew entries from big and small, old and new players from markets all over
Asia, stretching from Australia to China and India.

The Judging Panel which met today at the Marina Bay Sands in Singapore was highly impressed by the quality of
the entrants and felt that the entries showed the breadth and depth of the insurance industry in Asia and the way
they responded to the unique and diverse challenges in the various market.

The Awards launched in 1996 jointly by Asia Insurance Review and The Review Worldwide to recognise and salute

excellence in the insurance industry has become a much coveted and prestigious endorsement by peers in the
industry and is one of the highlights of the insurance calendar. The Awards are sponsored by some of the very big
names in the industry.

To mark Asia's coming of age on the world stage, for the first time in the history of the Awards, the organisers
decided to change the rules to announce the top three finalists in each category. They are in alphabetical order by
