Find Love at the 4th Annual CUPIDS & CANINES VALENTINE'S DAY DOG ADOPTION EVENT

For the 4th year in a row, one of the largest annual pet adoption events in San Diego will be held on Valentine's Day in Bay Park. The sole purpose of this free event is to help people find the furry love of their life in one convenient place.

The San Diego Animal Support Foundation's 4th Annual Cupids & Canines Valentine's Day Adoption Event will feature 15 local rescues and shelters, with nearly 100 dogs for adoption on Sunday, February 14th 2010, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., at Dunk N Dogs Self Serve Dog Wash, 3056 Clairemont Dr. in Bay Park.

Matchmakers from the following organizations will have dogs for adoption:

Animal Rescuers Without Borders

In addition to adoptable dogs, there will be information on becoming a volunteer or foster family for a homeless pet. Plus, the public is welcome to drop off old cell phones, PDAs, laptops and empty ink printer cartridges to help raise money for the Recycle 4 Pets project.

The San Diego Animal Support Foundation is a non-profit 501c3 organization, listed on Guidestar. At no cost to the animal welfare community, the SDASF features more than 350 adoptable pets on television every year from more than 30 local rescues and shelters. The foundation also hosts two giant adoption events each year, resulting in hundreds of adoptions, again at no cost to the participating shelters and rescues. The SDASF helps with a community spay/neuter fund, helps to raise money for emergency vet care, and has helped military members bring adopted dogs back from Afghanistan though our Operation Enduring Dog efforts.
