FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) February 25, 2011 -- There are a number of lighting technologies that are being used today in the HID family, these include the LED and Xenon HID Kits. For most vehicles, you will find the Xenon headlights as these have been more popular for a number of years. There are a number of car markers that are now making LED headlights partly due to their success as backlighting technologies for HD TVs and computer monitors. The fact that LED uses individual lights that are brighter than halogen light bulbs and can provide the brighter light with 30 % less power.

HID (high intensified density) lighting provides a brighter headlight and fog lighting system than halogen based headlight systems. This is possible because most HID headlights and fog lights are often rated to be able to produce at least 4-8 times the power of lights that their halogen counterparts can produce. This means that HID headlights can last longer and for this reason, they are becoming more popular on the market especially in the after sales market. Mostly it is possible to find that there are many types of HID lights including LED Fog lights as well.

You might want to check whether your local county to find out if it is safe to change your fog headlights particularly to the LED Fog Lights technology. It is possible to find many after market products for LED fog lights and you can use them for dark and stormy conditions. There are some fundamental differences between halogen and HID lights. High intensity discharge (HID) head and fog lights use a different lighting system from standard halogen bulbs, this essentially means that the filament of the light on a normal halogen headlight/fog light is filled with a capsule of gas instead of the coil that is found on Halogen headlights. The light that is produced will require ballasts to control the right amount of power and a regulated power current so that there is no explosion or danger. LED fog lights use less power than their halogen headlights and fog lights. With standard lights, you will find that the lights tend to last for a shorter period of time and still consume a lot more power than these LED fog lights.

Installing the LED Fog lights is relatively technical and somewhat complex process that requires some level of understanding on the various parts of the Fog lights. The Fog Light Kit that you buy should provide you with all the information that you need and the tools. Because of the Ballast that you will need to mount separately, you will have to exercise some form or precaution so that you do not destroy the Fog lights and ruin your chances of using them. If you have an owners’ manual or have a standard guide on how to install the fog light kit, then you should follow the instructions through or have an aftermarket engineer help you with the installation so that everything will be installed well including the Ballast which is pivotal for the power supply and regulation of the fog lights. Once you have configured your lights, you can test them and use them.
