Finnish Champions League Media Rights Awarded to YLE and MTV

(Free-Press-Release.com) November 18, 2011 -- Media rights for the upcoming 2012-15 UEFA Champions League have been awarded to YLE and MTV. UEFA said, “delighted to maintain and further extend its current successful partnerships.”

On Tuesdays, public broadcaster YLE will show the best match along with Tuesday highlights of each matchweek on its TV2 channel. Two live matches will be broadcasted by MTV which also comprises of best Wednesday match and Tuesday Highlight programme.

On the free-to-air channel MTV3, Wednesday highlights programme be shown. YLE and MTV will broadcast the UEFA Champions League Final as well as UEFA Super Cup on a co-exclusive basis. These rights have been exploited via television, mobile and on internet.

UEFA stated, “YLE and MTV have shown a strong and continuous commitment to the competition and UEFA is delighted to maintain and further extend its current successful partnerships until 2015.”
