(Free-Press-Release.com) November 30, 2009 --
The International Association of Online Business Managers has recently certified its first graduates in Online Business Management. The International Association of Online Business Managers provides training, support and career advice for high level virtual support professionals and matches online entrepreneurs with suitable Online Business Managers.
The first ever Online Business Manager Certification was awarded to 13 students: Ana Lucia Novak, Brenda Violette, Charly Alexander, Debbie Lonergan, Denise Mulligan, Donna Frindt, Heike Miller, Janet E. Smith, Joanne Kay, Linda Horowitz, Kenya Halliburton, Linda Phillips and Mariko Nakaya. These students excelled after an intensive 16-week training program and rigorous certification process.
Tina Forsyth, founder of the Online Business Manager program, together with Andrea J. Lee, designed the Online Business Manager Certification and Training to set the standard for a higher level virtual support professional.
As the Virtual Assistant industry evolves and expands, it is a natural advancement to introduce Online Business Manager standards.
Tina authored the book Becoming an Online Business Manager at the end of 2008 to formally introduce this career option. “There was a rush of inquiries from entrepreneurs who were ready to hire an Online Business Manager after my book was launched,” Tina Forsyth said.
“The trouble was that there were not many Online Business Managers around”, Tina reported and so she developed the curriculum for the Online Business Manager program.
The certification process was supported by online entrepreneurs who voluntarily marked and checked the work of the graduates. The graduates had to successfully complete a number of “real life” projects in order to qualify for certification.
After a successful first certification, the training program is going into its second round with a new intake of future Online Business Managers in early 2010.
