FitPERKZ was founded by two well known Tampa Bay area fitness experts Whit Lasseter and James Bellamy 3.

Whit is a Tennessee native who moved to Tampa in 2005 and is heavily involved in the fitness industry. She is an avid runner, biker and crossfit participant and recently ran in the New York City Marathon where she also qualified for the Boston Marathon. She also runs her own fitness camp at Tampa CrossBoot.

James Bellamy is also a native of Tennessee and is a Certified Cross Fit trainer and partcipates in numerous fitness events in the Tampa Bay area including the recent Florida Tough Mudder event.
