Fluendo and Metrological team up to deliver over-the-top video content in superior quality

(Free-Press-Release.com) April 28, 2010 -- Metrological and Fluendo today announce that Metrological will integrate Fluendo’s technology into its Metroconnect Operating System to ensure that TV viewers are able to enjoy superior quality, over-the-top video content on the new Metrological Mediaconnect TV platform.
Fluendo is an established leading provider of multimedia plug-ins for the GNU/Linux Market, and has succeeded in offering legal end-to-end solutions working with multiple formats and platforms.

Metrological Media Innovations’ software for set-top box devices enables operators to extend over-the-top home media entertainment services to their subscribers. Whilst watching conventional television, TV viewers are able to simultaneously access an extensive range of additional next generation, web based multimedia applications. Mediaconnect TV’s capability includes combining cable, satellite, terrestrial with IPTV and Internet TV services to ensure subscribers have the highest quality experience available on content delivered over the Internet.
