FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) December 2, 2009 --
It is assumed that selection of essential machinery completes the project planning activity. This is the furthest from the truth. Unless the project is completely designed with all requisites of the FIXED ASSETS, a project is far from being professionally conceived.
Setting up a process plant for any activity requires a multi-faceted approach encompassing:
•Process design
•Plant layout
•Materials storage and conveying
•Utilities planning
•Hygiene and CIP requisites
•Process control and products testing
•Identification of equipment and sourcing ( no company produces all equipment necessary for any process plant)
•Site preparation at location
•Advisories on plant buildings
•Installation and commissioning of equipment
•Training and process know-how assimilation and transfer
There are no short cuts.
1. When we offer to do a process plant, we try to assess the extent of knowledge and specific expertise the entrepreneur possesses. The higher the level, the better for us.
2. Yet, our experience in setting up plants has led us into stating all that we have said at our web page titled PROJECTS. There are no short cuts to success in implementing projects.
3. Each project need is divided into the categories: BATTERY LIMITS ( BL), ISBL, OSBL.
4. BATTERY LIMITS is about the actual process plant machinery .
5. Inside Battery Limits ( ISBL) is about all that goes in to provide for packaging, utilities, materials conveying, control panels, Laboratory, cabling, piping, etc. which support the process plant.
6. Outside Battery Limits (OSBL) is about OFFSITES, steam plant, weigh bridges, water treatment, etc., that are located outside the main plant.
7. It is imperative that ALL requisites are addressed for the real costs to be known and planned for in advance.
8. A Technical Plant Design Dossier (PDD) serves this need.
No two process plants are ever alike. A location and market specific evaluation is called for if economic viability is to be assured.
