ANYWHERE , California, United States of America (Free-Press-Release.com) November 30, 2010 -- North Hollywood, CA (November 30, 2010) – University Link Magazine (ULM), a monthly glossy magazine written by college students and exclusively designed for college students, announced that Sophia Bush is the cover girl for their holiday issue.

Sophia Bush is best known for her role as Brooke Davis on the show One Tree Hill, now in its eighth season. However, her role as a real-life activist is allowing her to make a true difference in the world. Ms. Bush donates a lot of her time to causes such as Global Green and Art of Elysium, and encourages people to donate to her Crowdrise site instead of sending her fan mail or gifts. Also on her radar is equal rights and a cleaner environment; aiding in the clean-up efforts in the Gulf from the BP oil spill.

“I’m seeing people attempt to tear away what protections we have for our environment for their own financial gain, and I’m so disgusted by it,” Bush said. “It’s been very eye-opening for me to have jumped into mainstream social media. The response and the reward have been so much greater than I expected it to be because I’ve got this group of people standing up with me who inspire change, and what an amazing, incredible thing that is.”

Ms. Bush, who also had starring roles in 2006’s John Tucker Must Die and 2007’s The Hitcher, is a Los Angeles native who attended the University of Southern California. “Sophia Bush is a shining example of the good that an actor can accomplish by using her voice to make a significant difference in the world,” said ULM’s managing editor, Rebecca Ford.

The issue also features model-turned-actress Beau Garrett who is set to star in the long-anticipated Tron: Legacy film. This month’s political story, “The Silencing of History,” explores the Texas Board of Education’s censorship of Islam in school textbooks, and the “Hooking Up” section has useful gift giving ideas for any relationship.
