Ford was part of the Big Three that did not require a ‘bail out’ last year amidst the economic crisis and as a result are now accepting a pay out from the US President as part of his export drive. The deal will see $3.1 Billion pumped into Ford export sales of around 200,000 cars.

The exports are set to be to Mexico and Canada and will be comparable to 15pc of Ford’s production numbers next year.
