The largest automotive aftermarket expo in the world, the SEMA Show is a bucket-list event for any auto enthusiast. The main purpose of the show is to highlight new modifications, and there's no better way to draw attention to those parts than with an excellent show of model car... and a few beautiful models. The 2011 SEMA Auto Show will take place at the Las Vegas Convention Center during October 1 - 4, 2011.

Ford To Celebrate 110 Years Of Racing Heritage At SEMA Show 2011

On October 11th, 1901 the Henry Ford took his home-built race car named "Sweepstakes" and entered a 10-mile race at the Detroit Driving Club against the favored Alexander Winton. Fanially, Ford ended up winning the race and the victory garnered attention from investors that would help launch the Ford Motor Company just a couple of years later. Since then, the Ford won many prizes in the other competitions.

This year, the Ford will celebrate 110 years of racing heritage at the SEMA Show 2011 by bringing together some of their more historic race cars to display at the upcoming SEMA show 2011. We can imagine that the lineup of different types of race cars will be truly impressive. Thus, at the show one can see the Le Mans-winning 1967 GT40 MkIV, Parnelli Jones' 1970 Mustang Boss 302, Jim Clark's Lotus that won the 1965 Indy 500, various John Force Funny Cars and so on.
